Neither am I, mein freund. I like to draw in simplified cartoonish style that gives me ability to draw emotions and silly faces on characters. And yep, I draw warhams in such way.
But this is not what sci-fi is like. And this in not what Wh’s like, objectively.
To be precise, warhammer 40K is a grim dark gothic sci-fi. That’s what everyone should remember when the design step has started, it’s grim, it’s dark, but It’s lofty with that gothic motifs. Also, the designs are epic, no, EPIC, and GROTESQUE as hell. That all means that:
Thousands of details = good.
Dark and pale colors = good.
Giant soldiers with giant pauldrons, jumping off the flying vehicle without a jump pack and landing with a damage of a small meteorite = good.
Ridiculously huge tanks = good.
Lol I’m sorry, I can’t talk seriously, but I tried. That’s how canonical warhammer universe looks to me.
AAAND.You can also write, cosplay and take photos and even make an audio book, but always remember, that you need years of practice and tons of patience.
P.S. I know two artists that I secretly admire. Both are my inspirers ‘cause I love their vision and art. Just by watching their works, I get powers to draw my own thing. Sometimes it’s good to have ‘senpai’, but watch out, don’t become a wannabe or a clone. Everything should have a balance.
Well, now that’s all. I hope this was helpful.
Shit, I want more ideas related to warhammer, my own are too broing for me to draw.
There’s megabytes of pics with characters in battle, I don’t want to spend hours of my life on the thing that was drawn many times already.
I haven’t read any books except codexes and Ciaphas Cain novels.
I’m not really comfortable sharing RP-based pictures.
And I’m out of Wh40k jokes yet.
WHAT SHOULD I DRAW THEN?!
